Depart ATL – Arrive SEA

Today was a “getting ready” day. We touched up the packing, touched up the house, dropped the car at a park and ride and started our trip to Juneau.

Today we flew to Seattle. Though we left a sunny, hot Atlanta ("Hotlanta"), we arrived to a 60F and rainy Seattle. We stayed the night in the Coast Gateway Hotel, just south of SeaTac. It was very nice. We’ll be in it twice more this trip. Once the night we return to the 48 contiguous states, and again the night before we leave WA for home.

Tomorrow we continue our trip to Juneau. We were pleasantly surprised with Alaska Airlines – they checked our bags all the way to Juneau (without being asked) so we didn’t have to drag them to the hotel with us and back to the airport the next morning.

We have reservations for the 5:20am shuttle to SeaTac for our continuing flight to Juneau. Early to bed so we can early to rise!
